Our Mission

To promote dignity and independence

Quite often our residents may not be able to look after themselves wholly on their own. We aim to always maximise our residents’ autonomy wherever possible, and to help them make their own choices.

To treat our residents as individuals

Care should never be of a "one size fits all" approach. At Oakley Lodge we treat our residents as individuals using a person-centred approach, in which we look at them as a whole and tailor our care uniquely to their individual needs.

To nurture the mind and spirit

As part of our goal in providing the highest care, it is also important to provide stimulation for the mind. We provide this in the form of daily activities, outdoor trips, and engaging them on a daily basis. We cater to our residents' likes and dislikes, giving them an enriching experience.

To provide a safe and relaxed home

At Oakley Lodge, we want our residents to feel at home. We understand living with a learning disability or dementia can be overwhelming at times, and in order to minimise any anxiety, frustration or fear we aim to provide a calm and quiet home without too much environmental stimulation.
